In India.

NCC use to and still stand for National Cadet Cores.

It is an acronym, you have to be careful, and in USA it stood for some kind of Communist party and was bend and is still is bend in USA.

It was and still may be considered 4 th line of defense of India. IT has two main levels, Jn and Sn. it would be like ROTC in USA, but at the end of the college or High School there was no commitment after four years of service.

Time frame 1958-1970. Please note things change from time to time.

At one time for certain duration it was a compulsory training requirement for college students, just like US military draft.

It had almost all branches of defense incorporated, e.g. Light Infantry, Rifle, Navy, Air Force, Medical, Engineers, Signal.......... all branches were not available at all locations. Infantry was available at all location, I believe.

At college level it was tied to bachelors program.

What is B and C certificates in NCC (India)?

Applied to college level only, it was call NCC only whereas High School Level was call Jn, NCC.

In those days at the end of 2nd year of college you were required to appear for intermediate exam this was conducted by the University e.g. Bombay University. Bombay University had I believe 13 colleges attached to it (To-day there may be 100..?). They would be like different campuses. But every one took same Final Exam at same time and university conducted them (after 1st of April time frame).

At the end of same period you are allowed to take "B" certificate Exam, conducted by NCC (India). On passing this exam you were certified as proficient cadet (leadership, arms, .....) with good standing (results were given at the end of December time frame).

Armed with this certificate, you were allowed exemption from certain subject at intimidate level infect you were able to substitute this credential in place of a certain subject.

Same was the case with "C" after 4th year.

Foot note:

As a good will gesture non Indian student if enroll in the college I believe were allowed in NCC so that they can opt for same exemptions without bias. All training was very general training nothing was very vigorous.

If you were in air force branch of NCC you were able to get pilot license, at no cost to you, as that was part of your training in 3rd and 4th year. If you were seeking admission to Defense College after graduation or applying for any job with DOD India, Police force it carried some weight and everything being equal you had first preference.

I have made this as short as possible and have left out lots of details related to substituting "B" or "C" certificate as substitute credential.

I hope this has answered some of your inquiry.

Dear, they all paid only Rs 27 as the bill was Rs 25 and Rs 2 was the tip. The rest three rupees are with the only.... So far in your equation you told each one gave Rs 9. And 9*3=27. And they had paid only Rs 27 (because 25+2=27).
