Yamaha PSR 640 does have the MIDI conrollin facility. All u need is to get a MIDI Cable. N before gettin the MIDI cable make sure that ur comp's sound card has the MIDI input facility. I have no clue what sound card u have so i can't give u any suggestions on that. But all i can say is that if its an inbuilt soundcard u have double check to make sure that it has MIDI option. Once u solve the hardware part u would need a MIDI supportin Audio Editin n Mixin soft. Almost all the Audio softs have that option. Try FL, Cubase,Halion,Reason. These would give u lots to play around with. Hope this answers ur question.

You need a MIDI cable to conect the keyboard to the PC. Just go to a PC shop and ask for it, every salesman will know it.
However, I looked up and it doesn't seem like that kind of keyboard HAS a MIDI at all. I found specifications of the instrument on http://www.piedog.com/musical_instruments/keyboards/yamaha-psr_640.htm
Check it out yourself. It doesn't say anything about MIDI ports.
There is, though, a hard disk drive on it, as I understood. Maybe you could conect it as an external drive via USB?

I couldn't find the PSR-640, but I think all keyboards now are MIDI capable. You will need a MIDI cable and a MIDI port on your computer. You wil also need some software like Cakewalk to record.
