Do they not realize they are putting the whole country in harms way everytime they report on the fact that x-ray's don't pick up liquid bombs or things our government is doing to try and track down terrorists such as wire tapping or bank account spying.

Could it be that those news stories are being used by our governments counter-terrorism agency as a way to provide misinformation to catch terrorist in the act? Don't think that the media does not coordinate thier efforts with the government. That type of game plan has been used since the Woodrow Wilson administration. So don't be so quick to judge the media.
Why would someone give me a thumbs down? Is it because you rather believe what you want to believe since you have no sense of history?

My sentiments exactly. The media is saving the terrorists a ton of time and money by doing all their research, and broadcasting the vulnerabilities in the system. What's up with that!??

Because the media feels "the people have the right to know" which actually means hey we can get some money from this but in turning causing many deaths, lets do it

From Wiki "A fifth column is a group of people which clandestinely undermines a larger group to which it is expected to be loyal, such as a nation."
I think that fits the NY Times very well.

If you are waiting for the government to tell you the truth you have a long wait. Why are you so afraid of the truth? The truth hurts and your darling government is willing to sacrifice your life yet you get mad at the media. What a country!

I totally agree. Other countries or terrorists don't need intelligence they just need to tune into our media. Anything for a story with no regard to our security.
