Boyfriend goes out with friends. Girlfriend's at home having cocktails, getting a little tipsy. Then decides to call a chat line and have phone sex with an anonymous man.
Is this cheating?
BTW - I'm not talking about me. I just wanted to make sure I didn't give someone the wrong advice.

If you had sex with another man (be it over the phone or otherwise)
Cheating is cheating.

Just like every cheating question, If you have to ask you allready know the answer. Cheating isn't an on/off button. There's not some magical act that is cheating while everything else is not. Anytime you steal love from outside of the relationship you're in, you're cheating. You know in your heart when you're cheating on your SO, only cheaters try to rationalize wheather what they're doing is right or wrong. If you can't do it with your mate next to you, don't do it.

Well think of it like this, how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot? You could say no, because there was no physical interaction. You could say yes, because it almost seems that you had to go outside of the relationship to satisfy your desires. Why couldn't you call him and have phone sex? Or maybe role play and find out where he was going and get dressed up and suprise him--couple drinks, intimate talking, flirting, he would have left his friends. They can't do what you can, trust.

Of course it isn't. It would be just the same if you looked at porn or something. I've had phone sex on chat lines too. And those dirty little boys are the nastiest ever and get me all worked up for the real deal!

I would consider it cheating...my bf and I had phone sex before having real sex and it was just and intense and emotional as the physical stuff...sorry your friend has slipped up
BTW..my bf would consider it cheating too

I love how people ask other's about whether or not something is cheating, like there is a set definition or something.
