I'm born on the 21st of May (Taurus/Gemini cusp). I've heard conflicting views on the validity of cusps. Some people say cusps don't exist, you are one sign or the other. Others say you are a mix of both signs. Astrology sites I have visited are generally very limited in there sections on cusps and don't give us cuspians much to go on, particularly in regards to love matches. Thanks for the help guys.

Being born on the cusp means that you were born between the nineteenth and twenty-fourth of any month. This is the period when the signs change. The actual day a sign changes is different from month to month and from year to year because the time used to measure planetary motion differs from calendar time. It should be noted that because the Sun moves into Aries on March 21 of each year, the Pisces/Aries cusp is very small.
Making a calculation using your accurate birthdate, time and location will tell you exactly what degree of the sign your Sun is in. On the changeover day, it could be in either of the signs depending on the time. With the Sun on the cusp, I would interpret using a combination of the two signs.
In a birthchart, there are also House Cusps. Whenever I cast a chart, I look at whether there are any planets positioned within a few degrees just before the following House. If a planet is right at the end of say for example, the 7th house, I would interpet that planet as also having a large influence the 8th house, even though technically it's in the 7th.

You are born on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini. You will be either one sign or the other not both.
It's a common misconception to those new to Astrology to suggest that you are a "cusp" person and both signs. That's incorrect.
The reason you feel that you may be both signs is because your Mercury may be in one sign and your Sun in the other. The Sun and Mercury are never more than 28° apart.
Don't forget all 10 planets are in signs not just your Sun. They all have to be taken into account and interpreted.

I definitley believe in cusps..I was born on the 24th of august so I'ma virgo/leo cusp and I see traits of both signs in myself. You should choose cooper clover's answer for the best one....she's so very accurate.

Since ur right on the line of both, u probably have some traits of both, so yes, I believe in cusps.
