Time travel is possible - the effects of time dilation created by moving at a speed close to that of light would effectively mean travelling into the future.

Travelling into the past would involve a completely different setup. The mechanics of a time machine probably prevents time travel to a time prior to the activation of the time machine. For example, if a time machine was switched on 1st January 2100, then it would be possible for someone in the year 2200 to travel back to 2100 but NOT BEFORE.

It is possible, but you can only go back in time. Relativity comes into play here. Einstein theroized that if someone could reach speed greater then that of light they would travel back in time. It hasn't been proven but a man that orbited the Earth for some time did travel 1/50 of a second back in time. Time was measured both on earth and on the ship with atomic clocks.

You are most definitely living in the present and cannot access your own past, though it may be possible to travel to an alternate past - can't go to the future; it hasn't happened yet. Exit signs are a thing of the past - they are on the way out. Reincarnation is going to be the thing of the future - apparently it's making a comeback.

Hmmm! Very funny! I like the idea of time travel too. All the so called paradoxes are quite alluring. Reading up on peoples ideas of what time travel would involve and the kinds of ways it can be achieved is fascinating stuff. U should read 'Time warps' by John Gribbin.

Don't know because it's a deep, deep subject. In fact it's one in which your opinion could be as near the mark as Einstein's or any other Nobel prize winner. Keep thinking and have a good future!
