i would, in my country, Singapore, i know it's perfectly safe... But I would be very cautious in other countries, coz I have heard a lot of stories. I am a little imaginative, but there maybe others hiding in the car, waiting to rob you.

I would probably stay put in my car first, and assess the situation before I decide to help.

I'd either stop, or use my cell to call for help. If it wasn't raining, I'd stop for sure, but, I had a timing belt go in my car, in the pouring rain, at night. Just to sit on the side of the Interstate was terrifying. Huge trucks going by. I finally got out of the car, and sat about 10 feet away. It was bad enough to be broken down, but being a sitting duck was worse.~

I am a slow one. By the time I'll realize the situation, I'll be on the next bend. But if she was a particularly pretty one and if the freeway was deserted, I'd probably back up and help.

From personal experience I know that most people do not stop to help anyone on the freeway male or female. I myself would stop. :)

No because it is illegal here in some areas. Some stretches of freeways are tow away zones....your car breaks down, you get towed. If she was broken down in a non-tow zone stretch I would help.
