#1 - it is impossible to have a cholesterol level of 9.2. That is probably your uric acid level.

What your are describing is called intermittant claudication, which can indicate some vascular insufficiency.

The biggest problem with this is that it can lead to either a stroke or heart attack.

Suggest that you go to your primary care provider (PCP) and have this investigated further. Usually an ultrasound can be performed (its non-invasive) to rule out a "deep vein thrombosis". At any rate it need attention REAL SOON.

P.S. DO NOT drink the gatorade as mentioned in another post. Gatorade is o.k. if taken in moderation and not as described in the post unless you want to get osmotic diarrhea.

Cramps in the calf as you describe can also be a result of some electrolyte imbalance mostly your sodium or potassium levels. Again, thses can be addressed by your PCP.

I have the same problem..Im 62 female..its only from the knees down and stops when I rest for a few but cramping pain starts up again after about 40 steps..walking flat surface i can go longer but inclines cause the pain and short of breath,,, drs have run every test imaginable.. from heart to lungs to colon.. all are excellant.. only thing is Im "mildly anemic" low iron...
3 yrs ago the same thing happened after chemo and radiation ...they gave me blood transfusions and it went away.. so I think its low iron.I take iron but it doesnt seem to assimilate in my stomach. for some reason drs dont want to give iron shots anymore..
the tech term is 'intermittent claudication'..lots of info on the web about it...and usually is associated with clogged veins and heart problems. if your heart is ok ..cneck hemoglobin... range is 11-16
I truly "feel your pain" good luck.. stretching doesnt seem to help me and Im in good shape for my age..

Are you stretching properly. This is key in any excersie program. I work out a lot and always have problems when I don't stretch

Your diet may be lacking in something. Try drinking Gatorade before,
during and after your walks.

it could be your mentioned reasons but it could also be that you are walking in a strange way!!
So be careful on how you walk.
