It's condensation on the glass because the liquid in the glass is colder than the surrounding air thus causing the dew point temperature to drop where the air comes in contact with the glass. The dew point temperature is the temperature at which the suspended water molecules in the air will form liquid water.

Because the glass is cold due to the water, the water vapour in the surrounding air condenses upon touching the cooler surface of the glass. Thus water droplets are formed. Its condensation. The water vapour (the gas form of water) cools down upon touching the surface of the glass to turn into water.

Condesation as a drop in temperature will often go below the dew point, causing water vapor in the air to condense on a surface that is below that temperature.
In other words, the water comes from the air, not the glass, just as dew doesn't come from grass and cars when it forms.

When u place a glass of cold water on the table. The water vapour from the air condenses to water droplets and thus u see water outside the glass.

Moisture in the air, turns into a liquid when you cool it down. You see it then against the side of the glass.
Kind like how it rains, once the water in the air cools down from the clouds it falls.
Process is on the side of the glass is known as condensation
