I am a self-proclaimed Womanist of 3 years, and would like to hear some different experiences from other women that take pride in the feminist counterparts---wheter it be a chauvanist or man--hater I want to know! lol

im not a man-hater but i do stand up for myself when in times of need...i see that men and women are equal in every sense...i dont take sh*t from my bf...so its all good...

I am a feminist, I don't take pride in chauvinists or man-haters, though. I don't think man-hating is very feminist, after all, the point is that we're all on this earth together, right? So we might as well respect one another.
I have to say I have no idea what a womanist is, though. Explain please?

I am a feminist in the original concept of the word.
To me being a feminist doesnt mean changing my gender
or hating men, it means i can be a woman: A feminine, womanly
modest woman and still be able to attain work, and status in
society. Being a feminist doesnt mean i have to be a man
to me that contridicts the movement and opresses women more.
We should be able to be female and have rights, but where
the post 70s Feminist movement has gotten us is terrible.
The abortion debates, the man hating, the liberalism
not for me, those women are not feminists they are
masculinists and anarchists. And they have totally
changed the original meaning of what feminism was.
Sad but true.

Feminists and Womanists are no better than Male Chauvinists. If you are to hate sexism, hate it in either sex.
