I always used this method, and it always worked:
1. I would take Vitamin C and Zinc pills ( I had chewable cherry zinc pills that were tasty).
2. Wash it down with Orange Juice (oj is soothing to the throat)
3. Eat oranges (after you drink the orange juice it is easy to eat oranges even if you can keep anything else down)
4. Take a cold remedy that consists of a nasal decongestant and an antihistamine (allowing that you are medically able to do so).
After all this you wont even know you have a cold and all the zinc will basically get rid of it within 2 days.

You can't. It has to run it's course. Drinking lots of fluids such as water, juices, etc helps. Take cold medicine and don't skip on the doses or it will not work! Wash your hands all the time and stay away from sick people. That's how you got sick in the first place.

You need to stay away from alcohol and cigarettes. Drink lots of water so you keep peeing in order to flush the toxins out. Plenty of vitamin C-you can get time release capsules that might be useful and eat fresh fruit and veg aswell.
Get lots of sleep and take it easy...Day and Night Nurse capsules are also amazing! :-)

Fluids, rest, and mass doses of antioxidants. Up your C intake to about 10,000 per day. Careful with E it will store in fat and we know too much A can be toxic. Stay away from the zinc stuff as it has absolutely no effect.

Cut out all Dairy , Sugar products and take 1000mg of Vit C .
A Ginger peeled and sliced ....put in boiling water...drink ginger water.
Also have a hot water with lemon juice and Honey.

Yes, Take a vitamin C pill, and an odorless garlic pill every day. Drink lots of orange juice. It will reduce your chances of a severe cold.

-eat HOT chicken noodle soup; lean over it while you eat it so the steam goes into your sinuses; that should help your headache and congestion; it should take at least five minutes to eat -drink lots of fluids; so much that you feel like you're going to blow up -get lots of sleep and rest; don't go anywhere; just stay sitting or lying down and watching TV or movies

There is a great Chinese medicine called Yin Chao...If you take it at the first sign of a cold you can kick it. Ask for it at a local health food store. Not the chains like GNC,they won't have it.

sleep, fluids, vitamin C... Anti-biotics from the doc.
Also try "air bourne" which is a high vitamin fizz tablet you can find at any drug store.
You can put on some extra clothes and blankets at night and sweat it out
