You should respect us that are handicap and not use either the parking space and the toilet. This is a law that shouldn't be questioned. We have rights just as much as those who are not handicapped.
I have turned several license plates into security because I had to park illegally in front of a entrance. Since someone had used a handicap space who was not handicap, the security allowed me to park in front. I also have a handicap sign with blue lines to indicate the parking space in front of my house. This is a $200 fine and a tow-away zone for parking. I was told when the sign and the painting was done that if a person has the bumper of their car on my blue line it would be considered parking illegally.
I am not trying to be rude or hateful by turning people in for illegal parking in the handicap zone. The person gets a warning the first time and if the park the second time then it is a $200 fine and they get their car towed away which can be very costly.
Please respect those of us who are handicapped and don't question a law that is made to protect our rights.
Thank you!

because it's not hard to hold it for an extra minute or so when you need to use the bathroom, but it is a pain in the butt for someone who is truly handicapped to get out of their car if they are stuck between two other cars with no space. And it's such a long walk from the back of the parking space. I do wish that they would actually pay attention to people parking in handicapped spaces though. I hate when the spouse or child of the handicapped person goes out on their own and decides to park there because they have those handicrapped plates. Pisses me off. I always find myself saying something to people like that. I love the looks on their faces when I tell them I'm a cop.
And yes, I realize some people don't appear handicapped when they are, but you can usually tell when it's just someone being a prick.

It's illegal because a handicapped person can't walk very far. ...or they are wheelchair bound and need the space to maneuver the chair or operate a lift.
I think you will find that alot of handicapped people are not ok with a non-handicapped person using the handicapped toilet, unless it is a single occupancy toilet like you find at most gas stations.

good question, i suppose its coz handicapped parking is always closer to entry points and this facillitates easy access for the handicapped and therefore its illegal for others to occupy it or block it. as for the toilets, are'nt we all handicapped when we answer natures call ?.

IT ISN'T OKAY TO USE THE HANDICAPPED STALL IF SOMEONE IS WAITING TO USE IT THAT IS HANDICAPPED . AS FAR AS PARKING IN THE HANDICAPPED SPOTS , I THINK IT HAS BEEN ABUSED WAY BEYOND IT'S MEANS . I KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE PAYED MEMBERS OF A DECEASED FAMILY MEMBER WHO WAS HANDICAPPED FOR THE SIGN YOU PUT ON THE REAR VIEW MIRROR . ANYONE WHO ABUSES THIS SYSTEM EVIDENTLY IS HANDICAPPED AND CHALLENGED MENTALLY

i love the handicapped toilet a lot better because I'm claustrophobic and I'm tall and they make those toilets a little taller than the normal toilets so when i go tinkle i do not have my knees in my chin...so i do not think it is wrong if you have a reasonable excuse...

When you gotta go, you gotta go?
Besides, many places have only one stall and it's designed for the handicapped, so what are you going to do?
