Yeah. When I was younger, I went through a period of years where I felt like I was just waiting for death to come, all but wished cancer on myself. And it was a really aggressive case when it happened (I was 37 at the time), at the beginning it was by no means obvious that I would survive. I decided to fight just in case I found out later that life is worth living - after all, it would be tragic if I found that out on my deathbed, when it was too late to do anything about it, right?

So I did what I could to salvage my health, trusted that the rest would be taken care of by God. I had a new tumor every two days before my operation, all I could do was wait and hope that some day I would find out it was worth it to fight, and He was there for me: I slept the most peacefully in my entire life through all that, and I'm still alive five years later to talk about it.

I'm glad I did fight, because afterward I did find out that life is good - even if it's not always easy. It's possible to find sense even in a life that might superficially look like a long streak of rejections and abuse. I know because I've been there. Finding that first bit of sense is always the hardest; after that, it gets a lot easier.

So knowing that you could have that too, it would be very sad to me if you were to give up. Please don't do it, OK?

Yes, I would. However, I would not be made aware of it. Would you feel sorry if I died? We all will have to die sometime. If this a health issue, I am sorry. If this is a mental (depression) issue consider--I have known those who took a gun to the head and pulled the trigger, but they did not die, they became a vegetable.

People die everyday and one only sometimes feel sorry for a person better yet knowing that person. I do not know you so how can I feel sorry. You should have given a reason and I could perhaps have said yes I would feel sorry.

We're assuming you're having suicidal thoughts???... it would be sad for you to die that way.
Years ago, my older brother killed himself (extreme alcoholic)... it causes a lot of heartache for the family... he knew it would, but he wasn't caring about what it would do to the family.
A couple of weeks ago, an ex-son-in-law (extreme alcoholic/drug addiction) hung himself... now the kids are in torment.

Absolutely! You would be greatly missed. Even though you don't think it, people still think sadly and lovingly of you when you're gone. Everybody makes an impression on someone's lives even when you don't believe it.
