Because he is not your husband. You don't say how old you are. or if he and you can financially support a child. Playing mommy is a job. You have to be willing, be mentally there 24-7, physically there 24-7, no days off even when you feel bad, you have to be your childs advocate though out their lives, but its the best thing in my life and men will never understand of get it because they will never carry a child inside and deliver a live human being. If he shows no interest in his child then he probably will so no interest when its born, good luck and best wishes for a strong, happy, healthy baby. And Be a GOOD MOM.

Of course there are sevral reasons to this. But normally its because your BF is not ready yet to become a father probably due to financial reason, or face the fact that she doesnt love you that much. He might be just bluntly up to his sexual needs. But one thing for sure which would help you find out better is to confornt your BF, or ask him with sincerity. Afterall, open communication is necessary for any relationship to become healthy and lasting. Of course, theres no better person who knows the answer than your BF himself. Just be yourself when you ask him. It may entail a risk of getting hurt perhaps for a possibility of getting negative response but at least somehow it would also help you to determine whether you are being with a man who is responsible or not. :). From there, both of you can then draft your next move for your relatiopnship to work, or otherwise come into a compromise.

if he is not excited then there may be two things first thing is that he might be afraid in this position and the second thing is that he nmight be thinking about your problems which you will face in the furture due to pregnancy.

Guys are weird that way. More than likely he is in shock, doesnt know what to do, worried how you guys can handle it, finacial worry, worry over whether or not he will be a good father, and some even worry whether its his. Most get over it as soon as they see the son or daughter. Some dont. But you really should be asking him.

The table here has come up with the following answers:

1) Because he is absolutely bloody terrified
2) Because he is worried what his other girlfriend will say
3) Because it doesn't make any difference to him YET.
4) Because he realises how much it is going to cost him and can't afford the expense

He probly doesn't want a child right now or maybe reality hasn't hit him yet. He might get excited when the baby is born

Well was it planned? If it wasn't then he's bound to be feeling a little miffed that he's now tied to your sorry backside with a kid in tow.

Do you know what, in the UK, you used to have a licence to keep a dog, but any idiot could have a baby!

Some guys just don't get excited easily. My hubby wasn't until I went into labor, I guess it wasn't real for him until them. It DOESN'T mean he doesn't want the baby or you just talk to him about t and make sure he does.
