I was raised as a Catholic, I was baptisted, I made my communion as well as my conformation. I did this all because my mother told me too. Now I am a 22 year old woman, living my own life, making my own choices and believeing in my own things. Now I will attack your question... Catholics follow the bible, the same bible that has been re-written, and orginally written by man. So I won't tell you "Duh the bible". I believe there is some kind of God though because look at all the Good in the world, surrounded by such greed. Look at the miracles that happen, why some live why some die, we all have a path that we are following that was already laid out and planned for us. Think of life in general, and tell me that there isn't a higher exsistance that innterconnects us all.

Have you not listened to the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. God says Proof denies faith and without faith he is nothing! And man says "Well faith prooves you exisit and therefore you don't"! Something along those lines anyway!
In my opinion there isn't any hard evidence to suggest any kind of god exisits but if you want to believe in a god then go ahead as everyone has to believe in something!
Futurama also did it well when Bender was shot off into space and was a god like figure to a race of mini people who he killed because he interfered too much and then not enough. After that he met "god" who said "If you do things right people wont know you've done anything at all!"
Therefore God wouldn't prove himself to exist as he doesn't need to! The people who believe in him would anyway!
Me, i don't believe in god personally but i can understand why some people do.

What kind of evidence will you accept and what type of God would you acknowledge if you see Him?
If you can tell me, and then I give or show you the evidence, would you accept the results or refute the I'm just fulfilling whatever you just specified.
Can anyone preempt God, make scientific hypotheses on his existence and then prove that hypothesis?
You can't, why is why we call the belief in God a matter of FAITH, not science.

The answer depends on what you mean by god. If you are looking for a person living in heaven and controlling all life and existence, such a god does not exist. In strict logic, you can neither prove nor disprove the existence of such a god. If you understand god as the inner core of the universe which runs the show, god is our own inner core and we can EXPERIENCE god through techniques like meditation. Just as we need scientific instruments to OBSERVE things like microbes, galaxies etc.,we need techniques like meditastion to EXPERIENCE god. Demanding evidence about god without going through the disipline needed to EXPERIENCE god is like a blind man demanding evidence that colours exist!

Well, for hard evidence you've got each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings, their glowing colors, their tiny wings, the purple headed mountains, the river running by, the sunset and the morning that brightens up the sky, the cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun and the ripe fruits in the garden, God made them every one.
But without lifting lines from All Things Bright And Beautiful, I suppose the simple answer is "No"!!!

If someone asks a person to prove that he was born to his parents, he might not be able to prove it. Its a matter of faith that makes you believe things that really cant be proved. So the only hard evidence that god exists is the word FAITH.

No, no one can. Believing in god any god is a matter of faith and love. Which is beyond the realm of science and hard evidence. You can't qualify love or faith or believing. All the wars that has ever been in the name of religion and in any gods name was in part half for the people trying to prove they loved their god, and their god was the strongest. Which is a matter of faith and is incompetent to try and prove to someone else. And the other half was for personal gain by people claiming to work for god.

There is no hard evidence and to be honest if God exists or not it doesn't matter. Hard evidence doesn't count because there is none its just whether you believe or not.

When you say 'any god' you open yourself to interpretation. For example, if I was to say "I worship the earth as the provider of bounty and shelter. The earth is my one true God" then I reckon I could pretty easily provide evidence that MY god exists!
The earth isn't really my god - just making a semantic point!

no one can..... even you cant find that while sitting lazilly in front of the computer and asking questions on god....
we feel the existence of god when we are in danger and we have no hopes....then only god's words come on the lips....
specially when lying in hospital just before a major and complicated surgery
when the person you love is in danger
you wont need any proof of existence of god....but you will start praying with your heart silently
