you would need an audio video out on your laptop. most laptops unless they are higher end don't have it on there. if you have a hi def tv then you would be able to connect your vga cable from your laptop to your hi def tv. they sell a box called pc-tv compenent its about 100 bucks at radioshack. you can try that it will convert the signal type.

It's actually quite easy. Go to Best Buy & purchase a D-Link system.
This creates a wireless path from your laptop to your TV.

On my Toshiba Satellite, I have an s-video port which can connect to the tv.. if the tv or cable receiver, or, satellite receiver has one as well..
