Its very important to me that I do something, even just one thing, everyday to make someones life better even if its in the smallest way possible. A smile or opening a door. I pay attention to people, what they are trying to accomplish, things they need but have problems attaining, or their dreams.... and without them having to ask for help I give it. MOst importantly I dont ask for anything back and in some instances get no recognition at all. Sometimes I feel guilty because it feels just as good to give help as it does for them to receive help.... but I guess thats how its suppose to be so the cycle will continue!

I'd like to think that I have changed the life of many of my friends, family and co-workers...even if just a little bit for the better. But I guess, these are the things that often go unsaid, and therefore I'm not completely sure I have. I just have a feeling. :)

I think I have sometimes by not doing anything at all. Many times people ask for help that they need to figure out on their own. Or need people to stop doing everything for them. Call it tough love or whatever. Just by recognizing this can help someone become much stronger and less dependent on others.

Yes. My parents-who are depressed over their two kids becoming drug addicts (not me)-always tell me that they wouldn't know how they would live if I wasn't there making the happy and forgetting about their problems. They even said that I'm "too good to be true."

I like to think so...I'm a teacher.
And, let's not forget the loser ex-boyfriend I had in college 10 years ago, that I supported financially, emotionally, and in every thinkable way.
