My dear one - this is a very complicated question and there is no easy answer to it.
What I think is that when we love, we sometimes take each other for granted, but mind you, not everyone is like that. There are folks who love us to such an extend that they would do anything for us. I think you might have had a bad experience, but let me assure you that it will not be the same for all your relationships. Sometimes, in loving, we forget, and begin to take the person for granted, thinking and saying without using checking what comes out of our mouth and the sad thing is that, sometimes, they do not realize it themselves.
So my suggestion is this - if you think that some who is suppose to love you is hurting you - than tell them so, however, in a tactful manner. You might just be doing them a favor - try it.

The key phrase is you say suppose to love us. True love and it doesn't matter who it is not guarded, not jealous or puffed up, nor quick to anger and sometimes it means taking correction and responsibility for our own actions. Be open and talk to the person who has hurt you. Allow the person time to talk to you because you are not truly sure they love you and your heart is on your sleeve and is hurt easily so something is guarded and not set in place. You need to find within yourself why you feel the way you do. It is possible they never meant to hurt you at all.

Well they do hurt us and in the worst way.
Why?
Because those who love us are closest to us and they know us best. They might hurt us by not doing something, like forgetting to call or write. They might hurt us 'accidently' by losing something precious or my making a careless remark. Worst of all people can hurt us intentionally.
The fact is we are human, imperfect and we make mistakes, specially in relationships.
When they hurt us how do we respond? Maybe we might get angry or withdraw communication or even hurt them back. None of these help at all.
And the best thing to do? Forgive them, allow for the possibility of the relationship to be restored.

A lot of times people who love someone hurt the ones they love the most. Maybe not intentionally but they do. In my opion most of the time people don't know the meaning of love how to receive it or how to give it. You just have to learn how to forgive are try to understand what happened from their point of view. I quess it really depends on the situtation though

It is because you care about them that they you. People you don't know or don't care about can't hurt you cos you wouldn't let it bother you, therefore no hurt. It's only when you have emotions and feelings involved that you are vulnerable to being hurt. But not everyone will hurt you and sometimes things are just meant to be, whatever doesn't break you makes you stronger.

Because when you fall in love you open yourself up and are more venerable to that person, you put your trust in them and you let down your defenses. So when that person does something wrong to you, you do not have the defenses up that you would if you were not in love and it is much easier to get hurt

because love is one of the most painful things on the planet, because you know one day your gonna lose that person you love, whether its through death or something else, everyone loses everyone eventually, but the goodness and happy times out weigh all those bad times so live for the now and be happy knowing that your making the most outta life. Good luck and Blessed be!!

It's not that they hurt you "Because they are supposto love you".. it's just that when someone you love.. and who you think should love you hurts you.. it hurts MORE.. Strangers can say mean things to you.. and it's not going to matter that much to you.. because you don't know them. But when someone you love does it... it hurts a lot.

Because the people we love are the only one who would tolerate us hurting them.

It's not the fact that they hurt us so much as it is the feelings involved. Strangers may hurt us and we not even realize it because we have no intense feeling for them.
