NO.
I wouldn't circumcise my daughters so why should I circumcise my son? The AAP actually recommends AGAINST routine infant circumcision. The medical "benefits" aren't very significant and just don't justify doing it. The foreskin was put there for a reason. If you teach proper hygeine and safe sex practices then it shouldn't be a problem.
And for those who will surely say, "so he'll look like dad" I just have to say.....what a lame reason! No child looks "just like" mom or dad in any other way! Their eyes or hair or skin may be a different color. Adults have pubic hair and kids don't yet. Women have breasts and their little daughters don't yet. Kids are SMART. They know people don't all look the same. It is NOT confusing for them to look different. My 7.5 year old son is NOT circ'd but his father is. As far as I know, he has still not even asked his dad why they look different. The kids I have heard of who have had this conversation with their fathers have said, "Wow...thanks for not letting them do that to me dad!"
EDITED TO ADD:
BTW.....when they are a baby it is NOT hard to care for an intact penis because you don't have to do anything to it! You should NOT try to retract the foreskin until they are about school aged. When they are very young it will still be attached and you could hurt your child!

I don't have children, but my husband's parents did not circumcise him because he had a heart problem when he was born and the doctors thought it would not be good to subject him to it. He is 34 now and has never had a problem with being uncircumcised.

Very good question! I don't.
Others told me that it is more hygenic to circumcise and less chance of infection occurance in the future, and it would look "better" too. It will sure be painful! And I can't bring myself to see my baby boy in pain. It will be so hearbreaking!
I read it in a book, that occasionally but rarely, babies die of pain. I can't take that kind of risk!
But ultimately, it's the decision of parents, so it's good to have a proper discussion.

i havent got any children but I worked in s GP surgery that did private circumcisions for muslim parents. The baby's came in aged 8 - 24weeks and are numbed and circumcised in the GP surgery. I found it horrific to listen to the poor babies screaming their heads off. If there is no medical reason please dont do it!!!

Yes i have two sons and had them both circumcised. I chose to do this because i think it is easier to keep the penis clean. I also did it for there sake. They would some day be in gym class with other boys taking showers. I believe here in america most boys are circumcised at birth so I wouldnt want anyone laughing at them if they weren't done. And last what girls wants a guy that hasn't been circumcised. They might be selfish reasons but my sons will thank me later.

3 boys i did because i wanted them to be "like everyone else" i was afraid that maybe in gym class one day they would be made fun of because theirs "looks different". but my 4th boy was born with a "partial natural circumcision" it looks sorta like a circumcised one, but with some extra "turtleneck" at the top. It doesn't look completely like an uncircumcised one, though. I choose not to get it corrected to "look normal" (circumcised) because it was a surgery that they wouldn't be able to do until he was 2!! I couldn't put him through that at that age. So i have left it go. He is 4 now, he doesn't have any problems using it to pee (and they tell me that it will function correctly sexually - something that i would rather not think about right now!!) So i guess i will wait and see if he gets teased.
I think that maybe the fear of kids being teased in school is just in our minds that there is more diversity than we think.
Good luck!

Speaking as a uncircumcised 30 year old male. Please don't listen to anyone that says don't circumcise your baby. Here are some reasons why:
1) They are too young to remember the surgery.
2) An uncircumcised penis is very hard to keep sanitary.
3) Uncircumcised penises are very sensitive to touch, which only hinders certain sexual activities.
4) There is a very good chance that he will have to be circumcised at a later date. My grandpa had to when he was in his 50's because of severe infection of his urinary tract.

Yes, we did. Part of the reason behind was for religious reasons, as not only my, but also other religions 'encourage' to get boys circumcised. The other part was that here in the USA it's still very common and even offered by the hospital stuff to be performed before mother and child are being discharged. When inquired why it's offered, we got told that recent studies had shown that it helps to prevent certain kind of infections and are also better to maintain hygenic with, which in turn complied with the religious reasons.
So we decided to get it done, not only because the boys were newborns and getting adjusted to lots of stuff at that time, but also they wouldn't have to go through such a procedure at a later time in their life then, when their might get a vivid and horrid memory of that event. Plus, when getting older and happen to look at other male parts due to whatever reason (school shower, urinal usage etc.) wouldn't feel that they are 'different' than others. There's nothing more painful than the taunts of other children, sometimes.
