depends...just like some white parents dont want their children dating blacks, some blacks don't like their children dating whites. Do your parents know your boyfriend is black? did you ahve any hesitation in telling them? If so, your boyfriend may have went through the same thing with his parents. My family has a saying "if they can't use your comb, don't bring 'em home!" b/c they discourage interracial dating. To me, i don't really care who dates who...i am just naturally attracted to my own race, so it doesn't work for me...whatever works for you, do it...follow your heart

I believe that black parents are alot more open minded then white parents. The big problems are the black girls, and the white guys
The white guys don't like either one of you, and the black girls don't like the white girl. There point I can understand. The white guy really hates it if the girl is good looking. The thing that I hate the most is when a white guy will not mind picking up a black girl at night but would not want to be seen with her during the day.

There are tens of millions of "black parents" out there so unless you ask at least half of them this question your conclusion will be absolutely wrong.
What parents fear is drama-- the drama of the wrong girl, the drama of their friends and neighbors and society. But forget what everyone else thinks, especially since life goes on even though people have been marrying other cultures since humans started traveling the earth. In the end, that funny look, that silent treatment is nothing. Interracial couples have existed for thousands of years.
Any loving parent will get over the color thing and want to see their child happy. They just don't want their child to go out with an annoying girl, with someone who causes unnecessary drama.
Stop being so insecure and improve yourself so that any man would be proud to introduce you to their parents.

I'm being general here but black women don't like seeing black men with white women. Black men don't like seeing black women with white men especially if that woman is good looking. But the level of feeling does not rise to that of black women's toward blkmen/wht wmn relationships. Blk women have mixed feelings about blk wmn w/ wht men and blk men are ambivalent about other blk men w/ wht wmn.
As I said those are generalizations based on my experience as an old black geezer. Personally I don't care who others date sleep with, hose or marry as long as I'm not affected.
I want my daughter to date a good man. Of course if that good man happens to be black well that's a bonus.

I think most parents prefer their kids date within their race. My wife and I have always said we want our girls to date good people, who will treat them well regardless of their race. You can't control affairs of the heart.
