I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. I decided to wear the shoes around the house with a pair of socks on. It takes several days, but it worked for me! Hope it works for you.

Dr. Scholl's heel pads is the best answer. It has helped me in the past and is very comfortable. Should be available at your local med store or even departmental store.

a good way is to get an old newspaper and soak it in vinegar, then push as much newspaper in both shoes believe me this works
