My dogs ran into the cord of my laptop and pulled it off the table. Now it has a big crack on the LCD screen. I can still see what I'm doing on the screen, it's just that the crack is very noticeable and there is discoloration in the top right corner of the screen. I don't have the money to buy a new one right now, and I'm gonna need this for school next week. So I was wondering will the screen or anything else get worse if I continue to use it being cracked? I really don't mind using it still, but just wanna make sure it's safe to continue using. Thanks. Oh yeah, I got my eye on a few replacements on ebay, I just don't wanna buy a new one right now.

You could buy an external monitor to use. The back light on my display went out some months ago. Rather than going to the hassle of having it fixed, I bought a 17" flat panel display that is wonderful. It made my notebook less portable, but I never took it anywhere as it was.

If you still can see words and no liquid flowing out of it, that means it may be still fine, but once the Liquid flows out from inside you may consider to change the screen.
DO you bring this laptop to school? if not buying a destop LCD monitor and plug in the monitor port saves alot of money. Changing the LCD for laptop may even cost the price of your laptop. Good luck there

you can use it for sure if you are not having any external cracks. one of my friends had the same problem. but she was using that more than for a year with a LCD monitor. i don't think it would get worse.

It is safe to use, it won't hurt you, but it's only going to get worse. Line up that replacement while you can still see the screen.

If you can see you can use
But maybe the best thing to do is use an external monitor. Any notebook has a plug for an external monitor. At least when you use at home you can use it.
