Because they used to be better than the rest of us (about 400 years ago). In fairness, there were many, many Frenchmen who fought very bravely in the Resistance and with Allied and Free French forces during the Second World War. You can't generalize about a whole country or people.

Americans actually are better than the rest of the world. The French don't bathe often enough and they were never taught manners. They also seem to sing the national anthem of whatever country invades them. It's the Germans who think that they are better than everyone.

Yeah, every French waiter who spit in a Nazi's soup considers himself a resistance fighter; every hooker who wiped her lips after giving a Nazi a free lewinsky is a heroine of the resistance. It's a case of protesting too much; they pretend to be better than everyone else because they know the reverse is true.

Oh, leave the French alone. They are unique. Why should everyone think, act, and look like Americans. We agree that we helped liberate them from the Germans, but they have enough problems, now, with Muslims running their, once, beautiful country amuck.

They are reliving the days of Napolean. High unemployment rates, mainly caused by laws enacted to "protect" workers have really hurt France.

French are great people and far more intelligent than Americans (I'm not French). And they have great history. Americans can say whatever they want...nobody loves them...

i didnt know that but if they do its kinda funny coz the men are smelly and gay and the woman are hairy and manly with big features.....but the people i can't stand the most is english. i HATE HATE HATE english people and i honestly dont grudge against people for nothing, those basterds killed my ansestors and terrorised my country (which is Ireland) and to this day they think they can still look down on us....they took our native language (but i am still fluint as i am very cultural). they did everything in there power to make our country as bad as theirs and d'ya know what............THEY FAILED!!!!!!
