Okay, I'm trying to catagorize different sciences as best I can, for study purposes, and this was the simplest way I came up with

First you have Physical and Social sciences, historical backgrounds and mathematical aspects would be studied along with the particular field of science. Then you would have abstract mathematics and general history, each being a group on their own (divided up internall of coarse, math into algebra, geometry, calculus, ect.)
Withe the physical and social sciences, they would be divided up and ordered by fundamentallity (I made that word up, don't complain about it), for physical sciences it would be physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, ect. with other groups for things like earth sciences.

I'm just wondering if I overlooked anything, or if anyone has any suggestions...

Thanks,

-David

Typically, physical science consists of physics, chemistry, and earth & space science (geology, meterology, astronomy).

Natural science consists of the physical sciences and biology.

Social science is not a science, in my opinion, but is a general field of study where good research is done. I always thought history was a social science, but that's not my field so I could be wrong.

Don't try too hard to categorize things, since every field overlaps, as I'm sure you've already seen.
