Yes, if we really to be of an impact in our own lives and in the lives of others, we should often consider what is the next step. It's the unprepared that step in gum - and then have no way to get it off. For me it's not a deep question at all, it's the kind of question that preceedes each decision, each turn of events, each action. It is such a natural part of my thought processing any more, that I don't realize I've actually made a conscience process - but having a brain tumor I had to learn to do some things all over and everything was about the next step, so it taught to me to look at the next step and not just the current one. Great question!!

All the time. I always think what I should do next in my life? Should I ask my girl to the movies or go with the guys to a game? Spend time with my girl or just kick it at home? Funny, I never realized how much I think about my girl.

time and again, yes. i learned to do long term and short term planning when my resources started dwindling and i had to work. i had to plan on where each penny goes.

but while i have some sort of a skeletal frame of what i plan to do for the week or the month, i still let the whimsical in me rear its pretty head once in a while-- i used to be too spontaneous, living each day as it comes and doing as i feel like doing for the day-- but i keep my goals in sight.

Sometimes. I try not to plan my steps unless it's absolutely necessary.
