As a child (12yrs.old) I met Larry Bird...got an autograph and a pic with him.
About 15 years later, my brother and I went to an Oakland Raiders game and (literally) bumped into Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown, former Gov. of California and Mayor of Oakland, and 1996 Presidential candidate.
I went to a Guns N Roses concert in Massachusetts when I was about 15yrs. old...we got to go backstage to watch about 1/2 of the show...everyone in the group said hello for about 2 minutes and then told us (i'll never forget this quote) "Too bad you're not old enough to party in the dressing room."
I would have liked to party like a rock star, if even for 1 night.

When I was about 9, George McGinnis, the basketball player, came to our house. It was his last year with the Pacers, and my dad, who is an architect, was asked by the Pacers to design a house for him as incentive for him to stay. He came to our house to meet with Dad. The house is all open, with one stone fireplace holding up the roof, and the beams and exposed wood deck flairing our from it. It wasn't finished yet, so I slept in an open area above the bathroom. I could stick my head over the wall and watch them. When my dad left the room for a minute, I "accidentally" pushed my pillow down into the living room, where they were meeting. Big George walked over to it, picked it up, and handed it to me at eye level! I didn't wash the pillow for a while!
