More than likely, the orange fruit, and then it was named orange. Since it had the color that it has, then every other thing that was that color was called by the color of orange.
The fruit trees were in the garden of eden before man was there to name it. Besides, the bible doesn't say the names of the fruit trees, that's why we still really don't know what fruit it was exactly that Eve ate, you would have to research the fruit trees of the area, which is in Africa, but the area, and the trees were destroyed by the great flood. However, since seeds of those original trees would have sank deep into the ground by then, before Noah was even born, the trees that were there in Adam's day, would still be in that area today.
The orange tree was most likely there, as was the apple tree, and others. So the colors of orange, red, and yellow flowering plants were in abundance, and were not actually named until Adam, or one of his descendants named them. Color association would have come later, in referance to the fruit that man could identify it with.
