Repetition will get you as close to perfect as a person can get. In sports, it's all about body control and muscle memory. The less time you can spend "thinking" and the more you can spend "reacting", the better player you'll be.
So, in short, yes.

Well, practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect doesn't really happen in sports. There is always room to improve. The only case of anything in the world being perfect was the situation Nick Lachey walked into when he was marrying the most slammin girl ever and she was also a virgin. And even then he screwed that up.

Not realy, when you have someone with no talent,no matter how much he practice, he won't get any better, my motto has alwats been: Perfect practice makes perfect, practicing a lot, only helps you getting luckier.

Yes it does. But I don't think it is a good idea to have so many pre-season full-contact NFL games. While todays players TEND to be spoiled whiners, an injury to any player in meaningless games is pointless. Look at Clinton Portis of the Redskins. Two games is all that is necessary.

No such thing as perfect and you cannot practice for every eventuality, so practice only makes 'better prepared'....

Remember and never forget, there is no such thing as "perfect"!

However, practice will help to improve - sometimes dramatically.

there is some stuff that no matter how much you try you cant achive, you can get better at it, but never master, specially if it is a talent issue, I can try to sing like pavarotti, I can get better at it with time, but I will never do it.
