Sounds kind of dumb but MacGyver. I always thought it was interesting to see him make all kinds of traps and gadgets out of virtually nothing using his swiss army knife most of the time.

"Finger Mouse" - it was on British TV when I was a kid - I LOVED it!
It was a guy, with a little mouse puppet on his finger, and the mouse used to have all kinds of adventures, it was so sweet! The mouse was made of something like plain cardboard and a ping-pong ball, painted.
I think I liked it so much because of the presenter's entertaining voice, and good way of making the stories so interesting, it was short, sweet and simple, and kept my tiny attention.
The presenter killed off Fingermouse by drowning him in his cup of coffee on the last show. I cried. For days.
Heres some info I found on it on a website:
Self-styled superhero Fingermouse emerged as the star of the proceedings. Accordingly, this character was given his own series in 1984, complete with an easily memorable theme song and a new human cohort, Mr. Music (Iain Lauchlan). All told, the combined Fingerbobs and Fingermouse remained on the BBC schedule for nearly 13 years, even though only a handful (or fingerful) of 15-minute episodes were actually produced.

My favourite was (and still is) Three's Company!!! (I think it was actually based on one of your British shows--"Man About the House.")
Why, because Jack's silly.
I also liked the Spanish slapstick comedies from Chespirito: El Chapulín Colorado (The Red Grasshopper--"Chapulín" is Mexican Spanish, derived from the indigenous Náhuatl word--don't bother looking it up in your Castilian dictionary). The other popular Chespirito show was "El Chavo del Ocho." (The Kid from [Number] Eight). It was actually a not a room number--he was a poor kid who lived in a barrel in a neighborhood that had only seven units--thus his barrel was "Number 8." They were all adults playing kids in that show--very funny, but I don't know if anyone ever attempted to translate that humor into English. I don't think it can be done because of the idiosyncrasies of the Spanish language--puns that don't translate, etc. But it's great slapstick still. Basically, if you don't know Spanish, you missed out! But it sure made my sister and me laugh when we were kids.
Chespirito is the name of the famous Mexican comedian who played both parts: "El Chapulín Colorado"--a clumsy hero who would invariably answer to the call: "Oh, and now who can possibly defend me?" (And usually caused more trouble to the person he was defending than to the villain he was supposed to be defending from.) He was also "El Chavo del Ocho," playing the part of a poor 10-year-old (yeah right) causing havoc on the neighborhood while just being an "innocent" kid. Chespirito was famed for always having a "poker" face while delivering his funny lines and stupid slapstick that even the cameramen could be heard laughing at sometimes. We loved hearing those cameramen laugh because we could always pick them out from the fake laugh tracks. Man, I wish I could transmit the humor here; I think even Americans missed out--at least the ones who don't know regional Mexican Spanish (which is actually 85 to 90 percent of the US population, maybe).

My favorite TV show was the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon that came on Saturday mornings long time ago.
I really enjoyed fantasy and getting to see all the different magical monsters that appeared each week.

Just one? I would have to say Little House on the Prairie. I watched it every time it was one, regardless of how many times I had already seen that episode. I haven't really grown out of it and I buying all the seasons on DVD so my children can enjoy them like I did

On British TV, Z-Cars (a police show). On American TV, Emergency (a fire-rescue show) and Starsky and Hutch (a police show). I liked action, and crime dramas.

i dont remember the name of it but the song of the show was something like this:
"she's a small wonder...." - it was about a robot that the family pretend as their daughter...
the family had a weird neighbor who used to always say "no no no no no no" n her daighter was in love with the kid of the family
thinking about it it sounds very weird when i describe it but l absolutly loved it!

Most of your generation didn't have the really great ones of the 50's, where boys had heroes and role models of real men and girls could identify with women.
