Think about everything and think a lot
Read philosophy books and any other books that benefit you in some way or even amuse you
Try to learn as much as you can
Always question....a person who doesn't question has no answers
Try to understand everything that happens, whether good or bad
Don't become obsessed over anything...have a good, varied, balanced life
Take everything in moderation

Not only will doing all of those things make you more smart, wise, deep, and enlightened, but they will also make you more happy.

Study Buddhism, read a lot, critically, and THINK. Don't be easily content with answers. Always think who profits from them. And always find and question the assumptions that lie behind them. Enlightenment lies in the questions - mostly in the ones few think to ask.

Stop trying to become something, even stop trying to become enlightened, you will become enlightened......

Be a lamp to yourself....work upon your conditioned mind....meditate in all movements....not sitting in a particular posture and worrying about enlightenment or relaxation etc.....

Paths are many....select the suitable one for you....de-addict from all social conditioning....many many more......I am able to advise because I am still not enlightened.....

You will not become enlightened by asking others. You must look inside yourself, and ask yourself for the answers to the questions you come across in life.

Buddha also said "Be ye a lamp unto yourself"

No one can teach you what is right for yourself. There are guidelines but basically it's up to you to figure out what works for yourself. What may work for one, may not for another. Just look deep inside yourself and you'll find the answer.

Meditation and yoga. You got to have a Guru at the first instance to teach you the ropes. You take off from there. It is very very tough but achievable.
