No, British raj was not better. We got our independence from the British, French and the Portugese after so many sacrifices. I think it is us who have lost the values our forefathers who fought for the nation against the british empire.
The reason why there was less curruption in the british raj was only because the needs were very small at that time. Blame it on the beurocrats but what do we do, we bribe, we take bribe, we try to pay less taxes, we blame everything on someone else.
how many of us even donate blood? help a wonded person on the street to the hospital? help an old lady cross road? protest against a crime in progress then and there or tell the police about it??

There was no corruption and a lot of selfless sevice in the British colonial administration. The best way to prevent local conflicts, corruption, and nuisance in general would be restoration of British Empire.

Because the people were more united then and there was little corruption at that time in compare to today's time when most of the politicians/bueaucrats are corrupted.
