From some of the girls I have had anal sex with: Use plenty of lube; start with a finger or 2 and work it a little to expand it; DO NOT SHOVE THE WHOLE THING AT ONCE!!; never go in without a condom (this is for both you and him); and the most important one is if it begins to feel extremely painful, STOP!!

It will not hurt him. It might hurt you if you don't use enough lubrication or if you rush things. It can feel very good if you are careful. Not everyone enjoys anal sex but many do. I suggest that you try with a finger first to see if you like it. If you do try it, be sure he wears a condom. I suggest rubber gloves if you try a finger so that you don't get any scratches inside. If you are at all unsure if you want to do this or if you are underage, don't do it.
