When your urine is anything but clear, it means you are not getting enough water.

Darker urine can mean a lot of things...sometimes, when dark, it means you are dehydrated, believe it or not...and the yellow, is just when you are getting rid of toxins etc. from your kidneys..however, if you are yellow, or having light colored bowels,...be sure to go to a doctor..and if it just happens once in a while,....I would still suggest going to a doctor for peace of mind...It would seem that you might be 'magnifying' the color just a bit, when you don' drink a whole lot of water, and the fact that it is clear when you do...well,...I think it might be dehydration because you mention it occurs when you DONT drink the water...so just keep drinking the eight glasses a day..and you'll be fine

thats quite normal...
the more you drink the clearer the urine gets - thats a good indicator if you actually drink enough!
