Do not, repeat, DO NOT, go anywhere in the islamic world. They will cut your head off. Almost 40 years ago when Kadaffi was a colonel and we had an air base there, his people used to catch young GIs off base and cut their heads off, put the heads in a bag, and throw it at the guard at the gate. They will never change. The entire muslim world is the enemy of mankind!

Zawia, a few kilometers off the Capital Tripoli, is a small friendly town. The local goverment has recenetly allocated a huge budget to the construction of infrastructure and improvment of the quality of life. It is home of a major oil refinery. I grant you got a job with a foreign company. I used to work for a multinational there. The money is good and the people are quite friendly. Do not hesitate. I know a lot of Brits who have spent the better part of their professional life in Libya. They have made a lot of friends there and are quite satisfied. Go for it
