That just isn't realistic. The US military may be a bit busy at the time but there isn't a need for a draft......not unless we get into another conflict in the near future.

No. I've not heard any credible reports of the the U.S. RE-instituting the draft. However, when you turn 18 you still have to REGISTER for it.
I really don't see Congress doing that, ESPECIALLY during an election year. The outcry would be too great.

Then we'll see all the gung-ho supporters of Bush's war-mongering bursting into tears and running off to Canada. Who's brave now?
They should draft everyone between the ages of 16-60. It would really bring home to people the true cost of your "freedoms" a-ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!

I heard nothing of that sort. Not in the print or TV. Not on CNN or BBC.There isn't even a whiff of such talk. It must be a figment of imagination of a fertile mind to discredit Bush and party which appears to be routine these days.

No, nothing heard about such a thing....though the Libs will bring it up...to scare the kids.....but with our technology....we need the more intelligent....it is all computerized.....even the ground troops need computer knowledge.....I tend to agree with crackhead....that it won't happen unless the war against terrorism becomes a full blown WW3
