I think that parents that don't bother to raise or discipline their kids is are far more destructive. I think that raising a well behaved, mannered, respectful child starts from birth. You can't just wait until your child is 7 or 8 years old to start trying to parent them when for the first 7 or 8 years of their lives you let them do and say whatever the felt like. I think it's such a cop out to blame rap music and television for what's wrong with kids. If you think that rap music is a bad influence, don't let them listen to it. Bottom line, and don't tell me it's not possible because I KNOW for a fact that it is.

I think you are putting ALL rappers into one category. That's like saying ALL WHITE people are prejudiced. Not ALL rappers are a bad influence. Some are, some are NOT. BUT some kids that your kid MIGHT be handing with CAN be worse than any rapper as your kid sees this kid daily and will be more apt to be influenced by this other kid/person.

It isnt the style of music that is the problem. It's the content. When subjected to negative influences on a continuous basis it creeps into a person's being. Music can alter mood which goes hand in hand with behavior. If the content was made more positive it would be ok.

I most certainly do rap is basically derogatory to woman society and the family values that we all should instill in our youth. I ha vent heard a raper play an instrument yet anyone can run there mouth, I have grand children that are better poets than the majority of these bums. Rap like crack is a sign of the degrading of family values in this country

hell no, rappers ain't got no influence on kids. i listern to rap music when i was younger but im still aight. besides now days kids are already ****** up, rap music or no rap music. rappers just help the kids put what they hear in the streets in to context. parents have a bigger responsibility on how kids are behaving. if the parents are ****** up, kids get ****** up. if the parents are cool kids grow up cool no matter how much rap music they listern to.
