I think the first one was better, it followed the game closely. MK2 was kind of all over the place and the actors for the first one was way better. The girl that took Bridgette Wilson's place as Sonya didn't do her justice. Sonya kicked butt in the first movie.

You asked which movie was better.. not which movie followed the game more closely.. so I still have to pick the first one. It had more action, was better done all around. I tend to like the first movie in a sequel better (there are some exceptions) but this is one of those cases.. the first one was better.. hands down.
