Chelsea epitomises what is wrong with football.
They act like bully boys to smaller clubs, poaching young players and not giving appropriate compensation - see the youngsters they took from Leeds last season. Any fines they receive are totally meaningless.
They tap players up - Ashley Cole, need I say more.
They buy players they don't need and don't play them - Scott Parker.
They poach staff - Peter 'Evil' Kenyon and Frank Arnesen.
They charge extortionate prices for tickets - admittedly not the only team in the league to do so, but when you think of the prices of match tickets in Europe, you'll realise how ridiculous it's getting.
Now, the manager. The clown belongs in a circus. We've got used to the blind Wenger and the intimidating Ferguson but Mourinho is a vile character. At first he was quite amusing but hearing the same fictitious drivel after each match about how his team of cheats was hard done by is hard to take.
On to the cheating. Like Scolari, Mourinho encourages his teams to win at all costs - even if it means breaking the rules.
As for their football, given the players they have, Chelsea play very boring football. They have the potential to be one of the best teams the world has seen, but their defensive counter-atteck football wastes about half the talent available. If they looked at how Arsenal (a team that I dislike but admire) play, they could actually win pretty for a change.
There are other things that make Chelsea evil but this'll do for now.

I do not support Chelsea but I cannot see anything wrong with them bettering themselves by spending money.

I think the people that really hate Chelsea are really jealous asthey wished their clubs could afford the good players that Chelsea have.

I don't support them, but they are entertaining to watch. I guess seeing the reigning champions usually is for someone who isn't an avid supporter of a particular club.

specific i come across a number of them very annoying thinking they insult with out regard for the relatively play of the interest, yet all followers would properly be like that. i additionally discover it annoying as a results of fact they attack different followers lots, i in my view discover it strange that they bypass and attack yet another persons team for no reason. all of us have followers like that yet from what ive seen the main have come from barcelona and guy utd followers. i purely desire we are able to end their conceitedness this decade. yet specific chelsea are making historic previous purely like 20 or so years in the past human beings ought to call guy utd slightly a cup team, jointly as liverpool are it seems that in the historic previous books yet they nevertheless preserve good club standards that has to count selection for something and arsenal specific we havent gained in 5 years yet we've continuously challenged for titles even after dropping all of our invincible s. i come across it no longer common to have confidence any of the spectacular golf equipment have accomplished a foul interest presently. one love

Chelsea see Lukaku as a direct replacement for Drogba who at 33 won't be around for much longer and it would be good for him to learn from Drogba for a couple of years anyway. Also with the new financial rules set to come in it's clear Chelsea are keen to secure quality young talent which they can integrate into the team over the next few seasons.

I think Drogba will stay till he's 35/36 but wouldn't be surprised to see either of Anelka and Kalou leave before the end of the transfer window and Malouda to perhaps move on next summer. If that does happen Chelsea would have Drogba, Torres, Malouda, Lukaku and Strurridge (plus one of Anelka or Kalou) this season, not unreasonable considering Chelsea play 4-3-3.

You're right a midfielder is needed but Chelsea are expected to make another bid for Modric having missed on to PSG for Pastore. Don't forget Chelsea do also have McEachran and Benayoun on their books.

A left-back understudy for Cole I don't see as a priority, Chelsea have two decent young left backs in Ryan Bertrand and Patrick Van Aanholt, one of which will go on loan, the other I think will stay as cover for Cole. I'd expect Bertrand to stay as PVA's defending still needs some work.

You said it, they have bought their fame. I think they have many fine players, but their fawning attitude to the Russian gangster who has bankrolled them is vile and immoral.
