my trip will happen in June-July 2007. I intend to play the qualifiers for WSOP/WPT. so any related info would help.
The place should ideally be contrally located on the strip.
Period of stay would be around 10 days.
Places with Breakfast included are preferred.

I've always had the best luck with travel agents. They can get you a good deal.

Aren't those tournaments played Downtown? If so, you have a better chance of getting something cheap. Try Golden Gate, Plaza, and Las Vegas Club. As others have mentioned, there is almost nothing cheap on the Strip, especially not centrally located. Casino Royale would be an exception, and Imperial Palace and Monte Carlo are also possible for deals. You have time to research, so check the sites below. They're the best I've used over the past 6 years or so.

Cheapest place mid-strip....the Casino Royale.

Nothing fancy, but a cheap clean room smack-dab in the middle of the Strip. www.casinoroyalehotel.com

No Las Vegas Strip hotels offer free breakfast daily, but you might be able to get comps if you sign up with player's clubs, etc.

The Hawthorn Suites on Duke Ellington Way offers daily breakfast. (1 block east of Strip at Southern End--near MGM Grand)

I know you want a place on the strip but I tell ya what, I stay out in Primm Valley and it is like $39.99 a night. It is about 35 miles away is all. It is on the Nevada/California border.

Try the Barbary Coast. Cheap good rooms right in the middle of all the action. Has no pool if you plan on using one.

We go to Vegas quite a bit.(as you can see by my avatar)

You can find deals all over. I personally use this website http://www.utopia.worldventures.com

I found the Bellagio for $200 cheaper than their own website once using this website.
