Hi, if you are getting the dresses from a wedding shop, then no matter what dress you choose they will be able to make them fit perfectly, I guess you havent been with your bridesmaids to try any dresses on yet. Im gettiing married next july and i thought id have this problem but when they started trying on different dresses you will see that even though they are different shapes and sizes to each other the dresses will still look as beautiful. But if you are getting them from just any shop im affraid it will be a struggle as some shops are different sizes that dont suit every size and shape etc if you are getting them from a store you could just have the dresses be the same colour but different. I dont think you will affend anyone, after all it is your day and they have to wear what you want, i wouldnt worry about it too much, as your bridesmaids would like to be comfortable and look good than look uncomfortable and not look good in what there wearing.

Try using the same color and fabric but is slightly different styles .The tall girl could have a bustier type top with boning to give her a larger chest and have her wear a 50 style skirt ,whereas your shorter bridesmaid could wear a halterneck with a flowing longer skirt .You should pick the best assets of both girls and work from there , however there own indivuality i think should come out also .Your wedding pictures might look awkard if both girls are not looking great . THe only example of beautiful bridesmaid dresses in diffferent styles is in Sex and the City when charlotte gets married and the other girls wear different bridesmaid dresses .

I would suspect that they might both feel a little uncomfortable on the day in exactly the same dress if they are such different sizes!
I let my bridesmaids pretty much choose the kind of style they felt comfortable wearing but all in the same material, because if they feel self-conscious and uncomfortable on the actual day, it will show in their manner and the photos (ie constant pulling up of dress, hiding behind flowers, wraps, miserable looking faces)
better to have happy relaxed bridesmaid than stressed out ones!!
Mine were happy and comfortable and it showed!!
Good luck.

Don't choose anything too tight. You could try a dress that is ruched on top that will hide both a flat chest and a tummy. If the skirt went out at the waist this would look good on both of them as it hides the flaws on your dumpy girl. Then if the dumpy girl is worried about her arms then they could both wear a wrap which would cover their arms. I hope you have an amaing wedding and new life.

How strange that I should come across your quaestion when my friend has been thinking the same thing. She is getting married next year and I am the lucky girl who she has chosen to be her bridesmaid. Being a curvaceous type, I have done nothing but panic how I will look next to her size 10 sister!! I am double her size but then they always compliment me on my shape and comment on my breasts. I don't want to ruin her day by looking awful. Anyway, the solution is to flatter both bodyshapes by buying the material and having them made in slightly different styles but the same colour. This way both girls will feel comfortable and everyone will look gorgeous!

You can get all three of you together and look through some wedding magazines or go round the wedding shops and that way you will get instant feeback from both girls.
If you tell them you need their help in choosing as you just cannot decide on a bridesmaid dress for them they will be more enthusiastic to help.
Good luck on your forthcoming marriage.

Try two piece dresses. This will allow them more choices. Let each of them pick out a top that platters them best. The last wedding I was in did this and it really helped because it gave you the freedom to chose what you though was best. I am planning on doing that in May when I get married. Oh yeah congrats on the engagement.

What you could do is get two different dresses in the same color that would allow you to make each one look good in their own way.
Sometimes you see all the girls in the same dress and 3 out of 5 look great in the dress and the other 2 don't

Make sure your dress is modest... no spaghetti straps or low cut stuff. Find something classic looking with short sleeves and a nice neckline. They will both look great. The flat chested one can wear a padded bra to fill it out more. Make sure you take them shopping together to find the right look.

ok u wil have to get them made, that way the dress maker will know exaclty waht material, style ect to choose when she measures them. plus at d end of d day, its u who matters, u cant waste time thinking what makes them happy. if they agree 2 b bridesmaids then they are agreeing to do everyhing that comes with it regardless if there happy or not
