depends entirely on what you intend to use it for and who you are... however i know for a fact that a massive proportion of gamers would agree AMD...

AMD and Pentium 4 processors both work well. Depends on your requirements.

a very good processor is the pentium 4 3.4 lga, it costs around $200, not too expensive and very good performance, can be easily overclocked. if you want a cheaper one, u can get the 3.0 lga, it costs around $100. but either one u choose, be sure to get the 2mb full cache for awesome performance. and you should get ddr2 with this processor to good performance

AMD, and it costs less than a Pentium. With the latter you may find that it's so costly because you're also paying for the name.

AMD are the best. Intel are always over-priced. You'll get more processing power for your money with an AMD cpu.

got to be amd i have been building systems for years and use amd exclusively never had a prob with any of them
