How would you get out of prison, and if you couldn't, how would you spend the rest of your life? PS, the prison is gender-segregated, so guys can't talk with the gals and vice versa...

If I was sentenced to life imprisonment I wouldn't try to get out, because I would have done something really bad to get that long, and I would know I was a danger to others.

Although sentences sometimes get shorter for good behaviour and repentment....

While I was in there, I'd take any courses going, just to keep my brain working, I'd exercise a lot to keep in good shape, and I'd brush up on mu karate skills, bcoz prison can be a dangerous place!!! I'd also write, as I've been wanting to write a book for years and I've never had the time! Oh, and letters to my family of course!

Gender segregated... That would make life hard!!! :-((

Are you assuming that I am guilty? If I am guilty of something so heinous that I am sentenced to life in prison, I personally would probably just knuckle down and try to survive. Spending the rest of my life there, I would try to make something out of it, if at all possible. I would research ways to help my legal team, I would research the law, and try to figure out how I could make my own stay at said prison as comfortable as possible. I am spiritual, and I would do a lot of praying, and a lot of seeking. At least, these are things I hope that I would do, and that I wouldn't be so depressed that I would just basically give up, and sit there for days on end without moving! I do have that in my personality too, to be kinda sluggish, so, I don't know... it's always a possibility. I like to think I wouldn't give in to that but ....
As far as being gender segregated, that wouldn't bother me. I don't have much if any contact with the opposite sex right now, and I get by just fine, you know. No biggie there!

Read, take classes, stay busy as possible,,,maybe form a support group for others who have long or life sentences so that you can help each other cope. If you're in for life, then the offense was extremely serious...so try to take the mistake and make it a lesson by doing as much good as you can within the confines of the prison. Good luck to you

For some unusual reason, i'd imagine existence imprisonment is the harsher punishment. If a guy commits an rather severe crime (and this guy of route did) and then receives despatched to a maximum protection detention center understanding that he will by no skill see something else of society ever back, what's he going to do besides pondering over his movements and crying in his sleep? (if he regained a sense of proper and incorrect for sure...)

I know i will oneday get out by a government which comes to overthrow another. So i will be gentle, making friends with some of my inmates as well as the prison officers.
I will also read more books and write something down everyday, likewise my BIBLE, due the way they don't allow us not to talk to anybody. I wll pray to GOD forgiveness and help me out of that place.

I would make the best of my life in there. Make new friends and that way i can always keep myself entertained. I would take pens and papers with me and write a diary about each day of my prison life and i hope it will be published! lol...serious.

I would start a fight so that one of the other lifers could kill me and put me out of my misery. Assuming that I survive that attack, I would study hard and get a degree so I could start a support group for families, teaching them how to cope with the fact that a loved one is in for life.
