Nope the creators of Sims want to make a profit because they are a business...therefore they only sell their awesome video games...sorry but you are going to have to shell out some dough.

It depends on what happens when you try to download it. I tried downloading it once, and it didn't work. It turns out my computer is outdated. You can check the system requirements for the game, and see if they match the hardware for your computer.
