That's an odd question. Remember that a catalyst accelerates both the forward and reverse reaction (depending on the conditions). I suppose you might be looking for something that slows the reactions, maybe a decelerant.
Anticatalyst?
anticatalyst `antee'katlist
1. (chemistry) a substance that retards a chemical reaction or diminishes the activity of a catalyst
Derived forms: anticatalysts
Type of: inhibitor
Antonym: catalyst

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say antagonist.......though I think thats actually the opposite of agonist...
In biochemical mumbo jumbo a catalyst is basically something that will increase the rate of a reaction...or rather push the equalibrium of the reaction to one side so that more product is being produced from the substrate.......hmmmm. So anything that does the opposite would be what you are looking for....Maybe a word for something that slows down or inhibits..an "Inhibitor"?? Sorry, I really should not be typing my entire thought process......

inhibitor |inˈhibitər| noun a thing that inhibits someone or something. • a substance that slows down or prevents a particular chemical reaction or other process, or that reduces the activity of a particular reactant, catalyst, or enzyme.
;-D Good question.
PS. I don't know what you mean by this: which lives with his host and finally finishes it.
A catalyst is not a living thing... ? something that lives with a host and finally 'finishes it' would be a parasite. But I don't see the opposite of catalyst.

There are 2 kinds of catalysts - one that increases the rate of reaction ie., positive catalyst and the other that decreases the rate of reaction ie., negative catalyst. So I think the answer to your question is 'Negative catalyst'

there is no opposite for a catalyst.Actually there are 2 types of catalyst they are +ve catalysts which speeds up the reaction and -ve catalysts which reduce the rate of the reaction.

The closest to the opposite of a catalyst would be a 'blocker', blocking agent, or antagonist.
For example, if a given enzyme -amylase - breaks starch down into glucose, it is possible to introduce synthetic molecules that block the active site on amylase. Such an agent would be called an 'amylase antagonist' or blocking agent.

catalyst is something which can accelerate the rate of any reaction, its opposite must be "inhibitor" whcih menas deccelerator which ultimately slows down the rate of any reaction.
