RC Helicopters very time consuming and you can spend as little as 50 bucks just to get started and no more than 500 for the best you can buy not bad compared to other hobbies like collecting or guns or traveling or instruments the only you need to worry about is upkeep and damage to the helicopter but as you buy better helicopters this is something you worry less about

Reading! You can go to the library and check out the books for FREE!!!!! You can't get any cheaper than that!
You can also investigate stamp collecting, coin collecting, knitting, crocheting, and other needlework.
I make quilts. If you like sewing, you may like this hobby.
If you are into athletics, try bike riding, rock climbing, jogging, etc.
Ask you friends what hobbies interest them. Go from there.

playing pool. it gets you out of the house. you can involve your friends and you meet new people. you don't have to be 21- you can go to any pool hall.
its alot more complicated than people think too. but as time goes on you get much better at anticipating what the balls will do when you hit them.
if you seriously want a new hobbie this one doesn't get boring ever

Do you prefer to create, collect or collaborate?
For example, creative hobbies include crafts, sewing, drawing, etc.
Collection of course are stamps, rocks, eyeglasses, etc., and can include flea marketing/perusing.
Collaborating hobbies can be bird watching, museum visiting, book groups, etc.

Count the number of clouds that you see.
Dance a little while you climb steps.
Fix yourself short term goals like going to the gym and brushing your teeth.
These normally help out bored minds.

Stone carving! It's not that hard, really - just get soap stone, and if you do little pieces you can finish them off in a day or two.
