Is it part of the worlds grand design that noone seems to be capable of getting on any more or have we brought it upon ourselves?

it is not the world; it is the people. All for one does not cut it anymore. We should pull together as a united world body.

No one? That's a large group, but I would have to say that there are many people no matter what that go through life with a smile. The world is a dark place, but if everybody sheds a bit of life on it soon it will shine as bright as are very sun. Cliche? Maybe, but it doesn't make it any less true. To see every person around you as your friend, your brother or sister, to smile and spread as much love as you can believe it not will make yours and the lives of the people around you much happier. You may call me an idealist and you know what? It's dreams that make our world possible.

Every generation thinks that this must be the end. People can't picture things getting worse. But it is all about individual perspective.
As for the root of your question. If we all agreed and lived peacefully, would that even be life? Life is about struggle and challenge. We advance ourselves by overcoming adversity as it comes our way. Our ability to do so is what helps us move forward.
Questioning where we are and where we are going is part of that journey. So.... you are already on your way.

It depends on what you mean getting along, to get along with people you have to show that you respect them for whatever they are or do.Treat people the way you wish to be treated. Have a sense of responsibility and have a good sense of humour.
Life is good as long as you don't expect the earth. you only get out of life what you put in.
wear a smile a good morning or goodbye and a thank you make the world of difference

i remember soon after 9/11....it seemed that people cared about eachother and they held doors for eachother and just really tried to help. it just seemed like at that time, just the right time, we all came together and it was terrific. this just goes to show that we can if we needed to and thats whats important
