Dimitar G - I don't know where you got your information from but the team announced for tonights game has Gerrard, Lampard, Hargreaves and Downing in midfield.

i thinks its a brave change and shows that Steve mclaren is willing to be bold and let players prove themselves rather than playing footballers just because there a force in the premier but cant necessarly play together. bring it on we need CHANGE

Well it was a smart move to drop Lampard out, and as for Gerrard, Downing, Lennon and Hargraves can do more than fine, SG is a world class player and must do as good on the right as he can on the left, and besides Gerrard will be making a lot of shots on goal and if he plays right, the ball will lay on his left leg even better! I know England will show us the best game they played in years!

Yeah i like it! It's pacy, got balance with Downing on the left, who I think can be a player and once Rooney's back can be excellent. Sven used to have complicated systems and formations which never worked. I think Steve M realises that we need balance and a simple 4-4-2 system and the players talents will do the rest!

With Lampard and Gerrard at the midfield, simply, 1+1 = 0, you either drop one of them, for me, no doubt, DROP LAMPARD!

Gerrard would have won the world cup single handedly if Lampard wasn;t in the team. They changed the formation to 451 for Fat frankie and all he did was whack the spectators in Row Z.
