Partly because by giving him a reprieve he knows he can get away with it.. don't be fooled by his words - think about his actions.. more often than not there is a mix..sometimes you feel he is great/the 'one' and others he causes you so much grief..

Stop lamenting the good times..they are nothing compared to the way he treats you bad.. drop the rose tinted specs - he will never change..when you have children or get older/lose your looks he sounds like the type to just cheat on ya again..

Dump him. At first you'll ache like hell - be drawn to him like a magnet but be strong - love feels GOOD and an addiction feels bad.. you need to move on and find someone better who won't rip your heart out all the time.

All the best anyways

They do it to make themselves feel complete and that is not a good answer.
They do it because they have no sense of right and wrong. He thinks it is ok that he is doing it...you know the saying..."what they don't know won't hurt them" I have news for that one...WE do know...and it WILL hurt even if we didn't.
Men must think that they are invisible...well guess what guys?!?!? YOU AREN'T!!
I had the same situation only mine turned out better...meaning once I found out it stopped and there has been no lying.

If he is still lying about it then why do you stay with him? You will never be able to trust him and there will always be that sense of doubt and hurt. Move on hunny...there are a lot better "fish in the sea"!!!!

Good luck!

Why are you prepared to tolerate such low-life behaviour? Sounds like you under-estimate your own worth. If you don't lie and cheat in an intimate relationship, then you are a super person and you deserve to be with another super and decent person. I hope you find one, soon .... In the meantime, do you really want to be around the present cheat?

I think its a natural reaction I'm in kind of the same situation and its hard work maybe you should sit down with him come out in the open about how you feel and let him tell you everything, it will hurt im not saying it wont but what he tells you might be good and help you decide, is he worth be hurt?

For men it is the thrill of the chase. Once they have caught you they no longer feel the need to try so hard.

For women it is the togetherness that counts.

A meeting somewhere between the two is the best that can be hoped for.

If you are willing to take his behaviour, carry on. If not, dump him a.s.a.p..

they all lie but not all cheat. men lie without thinking it's a lie. they protect your feelings or don't say more than is needed for their purpose. they lie more when caught out for some reson..a bit like kids do. cheating is a different thing. your guy is a cheat and you are storing heartache for yourself.

because if they can lie to you about where and who they are with then they can lie about saying they love you. Sadly I dont feel he does. He has no respect for you and even less now because forgiving him has told him its ok to do it again. as he knows it will only upset you for a few days or so, and that you get over it .. of he goes again. you deserve a million times better. you know it to! you know what you got to do.

Not all men do that. Only the men you choose to be involved with. Notice a lot of your guys are alike? It might be you and your taste in men. Really. I'm not kidding.
