For me...it is when all aspects come together and I feel in mastery of my life. All three aspects, the physical, mental, and spiritual are so very important. They do not come together for everyone all the time. Most of the time we must settle for lesser. What has the most impact on my feeling most alive and whole is my spiritual well-being (which says a lot, as I have had to deal with, and still continue to deal with, a terminal illness).

I have had 2 kidney transplants so the day I got them were the days I felt most alive. Since then, it was the day I married my husband. I am currently waiting for a 3rd transplant so when that day arrives, that will be probably be the one I feel most alive on. LOL
Actually, every day I spend with my husband makes me feel alive.

Yes, life is for living, living well. When in my life I have felt more alive? There have been instances when I felt less alive, but in fact I was more alive than I could realise. My life is a normal life; just like every other person I have my share of doles and delights. But what make life more meaningful and value to me is how I understand it and how I try to live!
Imagine one day you wake up in the morning and find yourself on an unknown magical land far away from you home. You find this new world charming and beautiful. Its impact upon you senses is spellbinding. You look at this world learn admiration. You feel curious and set out to explore, seek out more of your newly found world. Then you look around and realise that there are other people like you around, and you learn love.
You realise that this is not only the world of beauty and charm but it is also a world of love and care. Then soon you also realise that there is no end to love and beauty here, in the world you know. You ask yourself question, and think – can there be more love, much more? You think and your journey begins. But you do not know where to go, where to find what you are looking for, and you no longer remember where you are from, where all the love, care and beauty of the world come form? You know inside that the origins of these things cannot be different from your own origins – simply because you feel them and you always feel at home with these things. You sense a subtle connection within that reminds you of somewhere that you need to return, something that you need to find, and somebody you need to be and know yourself as. You search; you travel, both in your mind and in your heart. You travel over on land and over seas. You try to be better and better as a person, you try to excel in everything you do because you know that one day you will face the true excellence and you want to make sure that your are worthy of it.
Our life is like this – a journey. We forgot exactly where we are form but we have not lost the intuitive touch of our destination. This is what we are to keep in min here, figure out from the life we have what our life is - what it can be? What is the essence, and what is the reality of existence. Throughout our life seek the meanings of life. We improve ourselves and try to become better and better not only for the world we find ourselves in but also for an unseen destination. We try to transcend thought with our faith and try to excel the matter in search of our heavenly origins.
Life is a journey, and the purpose of this journey is to travel it well.

When my daughter almost got run over in front of my eyes. It was a near miss only by a hair's breadth. She would have been killed.
I was at the time deep in suicidal grief and self pity/loathing because my mother had passed away suddenly 7 months earlier.
That shook me from the darkness and brought me hurtling to my senses. My daughter needs me, and I love so much I couldn't have lived without her.

Aristotle once said: A life unanalysed is not worth of living. That being said, you dont have to overanalyze everything, but make better choices you will land in better circumstances. And thats good living.

My father died of cancer in his 60's, yelling that it was unfair. I don't blame him. I blame him for the wasted years when he lay in a drunken coma!
We take our lives for granted. Until we face losing them.
One morning, I walked up the road The sun shone warm on my shoulders and suddenly, it was beautiful. All around was beautiful. I was happy. A small thing but I try to experience that often.
