Able to start employment at the earliest possible opportunity (as soon as possible). Usually it is accepted that someone leaving another job to take up the position has to give some form of notice - usually a week or two, but if paid monthly, maybe a month. If you have the necessary qualifications and are unemployed at present, you have a much better chance.
On a letter, it sometimes says 'Reply ASAP', which means Answer the letter as soon as possible. Good luck.

G'day Nagendra Rai,
Thanks for your question.
ASAP is an abbreviation of As Soon as Possible. The first usage recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary in R.J. Schwart's Complete Dictionary of Abbreviations published in 1955.
Regards

As Soon As Possible. I worked in an advertising agency-too often I recieved job requisitions stamped ASAP.Once I ignored it on purpose.I got an earful from the marketing guy! I pleaded innocence and said i thought "ASAP"meant As Slow As Possible.
Since then we have better work management as far as date-line is concerned.

ASAP means As Soon As Possible. It could means they are desperate for hired hands. You might get better pay out of that job because of it. -or- They just don't want to pay a decent wage and people aren't applying or quitting for it.
Check it out.
